“MAPAS INTERNOS”
Me motiva crear un vínculo entre Argentina-Ibiza. Porque es parte de mis últimos
años de ir y venir entre estos dos continentes; uno en el que nací y el otro en el que
nacieron mis ancestros (España). „Mapas internos“, es un recorrido de este proceso de adaptación como inmigrante de otro país en la isla; de lo que se siente volver a los orígenes en ambos casos.
La instalación, simboliza este vínculo. Las ramas (raíz) “sostienen” la tela; la tela representa el mapa (que simbólicamente contiene los elementos que guían a un viajero; en este caso el mapa es interno, es decir una guía de supervivencia interna, que conlleva las memorias y sensaciones de la existencia). Las maderas/ramas sostienen el mapa buscando el equilibrio, como si se tratara de la existencia misma; el equilibrio y el sostén, la guía.
La proyección sobre la tela es un registro de una performance realizada hace algunos años; es parte del proceso de investigación sobre los mapas internos, sobre la conexión cielo-tierra-cielo como guía interna; el bosquejar a gran escala con colores naturales, el “mapa”. Esta acción fue realizada dentro de una alberca; representa el tránsito entre territorios, el movimiento, el atravesar el miedo para dar el paso hacia lo nuevo; hacia la luz, como guía y aprendizaje.
“INNER MAPS”
I am motivated to create a link between Argentina-Ibiza. Because it is part of my last years of coming and going between these two continents; one in which I was born and the other in which my ancestors were born (Spain). „Inner Maps“ is a journey of the process of adaptation as an immigrant from another country on the island.
The installation symbolizes this link. The branches (root) “hold” the fabric; The fabric represents the map (which symbolically contains the elements that guide a traveler; in this case the map is internal, that is, an internal survival guide, which carries the memories and sensations of existence). The wood/branches support the map seeking balance, as if it were existence itself; balance and support, the guide.
The projection on the fabric is a register of a performance I did some years ago; It is part of the research process on inner maps ; the sky-earth-sky connection as an internal guide, sketching on a large scale fabric with natural colors, the “map”. This action was carried out inside an alberca; It represents the transit between territories, movement, going through fear to take the step towards the new; towards the light, as a guide and learning.

Trabajo con diferentes técnicas, conectados y relacionadas entre sí; explorando las dinámicas de visibilidad e invisibilidad de la mujer.
Frecuentemente indago conceptos como densidad y sutileza, o inquietud; mientras me pregunto continuamente en qué dirección voy. Lo decisivo es qué quiero sutilizar en lo denso y qué quiero densificar en lo sutil.
Mi trabajo es un vehículo de mis propias experiencias en la investigación-meditación sobre el campo abstracto de la sensualidad, el cuerpo interior femenino y el estudio de una respuesta física momentánea e inmediata a una acumulación fluida de percepciones; reflejando un estado del ser, a través del vacío, la luz y el color.
About
I work with different mediums all connected and relate to each other; exploring the dynamics of visibility and invisibility of women.
Frequently I enquire concepts as density and subtlety, or restlessness; as I continuously ask myself what direction I am going in. What becomes decisive is what I want to subtilize within the dense and what I want to densify in the subtle.
My work is a vehicle of my own experiences into the research-meditation on the abstract field of sensuality, feminine inner body and the study of a momentary and immediate physical response to a fluid accretion of perceptions ; reflecting a state of being, through emptiness, light and colour.

Li Ramet es una artista argentina, radicada en Ibiza desde 2008.
Ramet obtuvo una Licenciatura en Bellas Artes de la Facultad de Artes y Diseño de la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Argentina y una Maestría en Arte Terapia de la Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, México.
Trabaja con procesos que incluyen dibujo, pintura, collage, textiles, escultura/instalación, performance y fotografía.
Su obra forma parte de colecciones privadas y ha sido expuesta en muestras individuales y colectivas en diversas galerías en España, Nueva York, Francia, Estambul y Argentina.

Li Ramet is an argentinian artist, based in Ibiza since 2008.
Ramet earned a BFA from the Faculty of Arts and Design at National University of Cuyo, Argentina and a MFA in Art Therapy from the Autonomous University of Coahuila, México.
She works with processes including drawing, painting, collage, textiles, sculpture/installation, performance, and photography.
Her work features in private collections and has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at various galleries in Spain, New York, France, Istanbul, and Argentina.
